Our Favorite High School American History Textbook
For decades, revisionist historians have been using history as a political weapon. Foremost among them is the Marxist Howard Zinn. His book, A People's History of the United States, teaches students that their country was founded on exploitation of the cruelest kind. Even though scholars have proven time and time again that Zinn's story relies on falsified evidence, it continues to shape the way that many Americans understand their past.
A Patriot's History of the United States was created to fix that problem. Written by history professors Larry Schweikart and Michael Allen, it became a breakaway hit in the mid-2000s. A Patriot's History explicitly contradicts Howard Zinn to argue that America has largely been a force for good in the world. We are proud to sell it along with our classical history curriculum.
