John De Gree's 37-lesson course covers everything from the Roman Empire through the fall of Medieval society, hitting all the civilizations from every continent of the world. Each lesson contains a recorded power point presentation, complete with images and maps that help the student see the history that De Gree is describing. Then, students answer review questions from the lesson, and compare their answers with the answer key. At the end of every unit is a unit test that is graded online. Students must score at least a 70% to advance.
Mr. De Gree's Medieval Course teaches everything a junior high student needs to know, but is unique in its perspective and explanation. Mr. De Gree shows how Western Civilization developed and nurtured liberty, and how other civilizations may have not. Students learn the philosophical and historical foundations for the liberties that are written in the U.S. Constitution, all at a junior high level. De Gree shows students how civilizations and time periods are connected, and he explains everything with fun and interesting stories that keep the young teenager interested. This is the Anti-Revisionist Medieval history course, focusing on liberty, all for the sixth through 8th grader.
