We started our Online Academy for students to engage in the Socratic Discussion. Instead of being asked to memorize a list of facts, students encounter controversial questions and develop arguments that are based in evidence. Then, they meet online to debate and discover the best answer, together. Our method equips students to tell the difference between fact and opinion and ground arguments in evidence — skills that help them throughout the rest of their lives. We are dedicated to promoting virtue by inspiring students to seek the truth through the Socratic Discussion.
We wrote an in-depth guide to our unique approach to live online classes, so please take a look at that if you haven't already. And if you'd like to learn more about our classical curriculum, click here. In this article, we'll cover the all the information you need to choose the right course for your students.
Three Types of History Classes
We offer three types of online history classes for middle schoolers and high schoolers. All of our history classes use our classical curriculum:

Recorded Course: Students complete the reading and watch recordings of our live classes.
Video Course: Students watch lectures, complete quizzes, and earn a Certificate of Completion. Click herefor more information.
Two Online Literature Classes
We offer two online literature classes. One is geared toward middle schoolers, and the other is designed for high schoolers. Both introduce students to the elements of literary analysis.
